My prayer life is not perfect. I will be the first to admit that. I do desire deeper and more intimate times with my Creator.
Yet, prayer is more to me than a one-time-a-day intense quietness. For me, prayer is an almost constant conversation with my Heavenly Daddy. I speak in whispers, sometimes cries and often with tones of ‘whys’. Joys and fears are shared with moments of concerns and lots of ‘help me’. For instance, when I am traveling and an ambulance passes, I pray for those who are waiting on them and for safe travel back and forth; for the situation requiring their care and the emergency personnel. I do get distracted, too. The radio can carry my thoughts in different directions than I intended, especially when listening to a speaker or the local and national news, but I also find that the words of some music seems to transport me into the throne room of God.
Prayer is not a dictated action, but an experience of transformation. Otherwise, it becomes a chore to be reckoned with and tends to be neglected. So, as you consider your prayer life, check out the new Prayer Page that is in the process of being developed as a resource for you in your prayer life. Eventually I will include some of the written prayers of strong voices from past and present days. I hope that you find this page to be inspirational and a source of growth in your prayer life.
Perhaps you have a favorite prayer that you would like to share. I invite you to bless others with your own blessings, or you may have a prayer request. Again, this page is being developed for you.
